The Pilgrim was designed to offer you a true return to basics, while respecting the environment. Electricity is deliberately limited, but you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay: electric space heater, mini-fridge, espresso machine, and two burners for cooking. In summer, enjoy the outdoor shower (May 15 to October 15), and in winter, experience simplicity by washing with melted snow on the wood stove.

This refuge offers a total immersion in the simplicity of yesteryear, with an outdoor dry toilet and an environment disconnected from the modern world. Although there is no Wi-Fi, a good cellular network is available. However, we encourage you to take full advantage of the disconnection by putting your phone in the cell box. 😉

There is no bathroom inside the chalet. There is a dry toilet outside, near the chalet. In addition, there is no indoor shower, however you will have access to an outdoor shower from June to September (no heating element for the water – heated by solar action). You must therefore wash with a washcloth from October to May. There is a mini refrigerator but there is no stove. You will therefore have to use the wood stove, the electric hotplate (2 burners) or the outdoor fireplace for your cooking. There is no lighting, but rechargeable lanterns and candles are provided. The cottage has only 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor with 2 double beds with mattresses covered with hygienic covers: you must bring your own bedding. All in all, a real rustic experience from yesteryear!
The cottage will be entirely exclusive to you, while the outdoor shower and the electric car charging station are shared with The Hermit (neighboring cottage 100 meters away).

First and foremost, there are no fees for bookings cancelled within 24 hours of your booking, with the exception of last-minute bookings made up to 5 days before your scheduled arrival date. So, if a booking has been made by accident, you have the peace of mind to change it without worry. In addition, you can cancel up to 5 days before your scheduled arrival date for a full refund, less a 10% fee of the total booking amount.
